We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed the special time with their families! Alexander turned 5 months old on Christmas Eve and we still can't believe it has already been 5 months. I know...we will say that every month and then years to come!
The last few weeks have been a tough ride. Little guy ended up with RSV and and ear infection. We were on amoxicillin, breathing treatments and steroids. My sister and I were always sick during the holidays, so my mom says "payback!".
We, as a family, went to visit my Granddaddy's side of the family in Goldsboro on Christmas Eve. Alexander was able to meet a lot of family for the 1st time. He was surprisingly very shy and weiry of strangers. A side of him we are beginning to see more often! I don't think it helped that he wasn't feeling good!
Christmas AM was an absolute blast and Eric and I cherished every minute of it. For starters, he slept until 7am--something he does not do often! The we opened presents! He was cute trying to open his gifts, more interested in eating the wrapping paper! Santa brought a "Lay on my tummy and spin" playmat, books, a ball, sippy cups, a mirror for his crib among a few other things.

On to Nana's house we went where Santa made another stop for our little man! Between Nana, Papa, Auntie Toni and Santa--Alexander is set with his wardrobe from now until Summer and has lots of fun toys! Including a nice loud musical table that I am sure will be his favorite toy and just music to our ears pretty soon! (Thanks Toni!) We also were able to see Grandaddy Tony for a quick minute and of course he got more UNC gear--an outfit and a piggy bank.

Then we traveled to see Great Grandma Squier where he met more "new family" for the first time and received more toys. Baby leap frog, balls and other fun toys!
On to our last stop where we could open more presents, have dinner and then rest a while...Grandma & Grandpa Curries. Again, Alexander got more really nice outfits, lots of books and more toys. He will know his alphabet by the time he is 9 months promise! :-)
Toys they make for kids these days sure have changed since Mommy & Daddy were growing up. They are so cool, we like to play with them too! This is great because he is growing more and more interested in playing with his toys. He still loves his "Johnny Jump up" and exersaucer! However, he loves sitting up, standing and jumping. He absolutely hates tummy time and lying flat on the floor (thus why Santa thought it would be fun to have a "Lay on my tummy and spin mat"! He hates it by the way!! I think Alexander thinks he is going to skip the rolling over stage....we are working on it!

Alexander is still enjoying his cereal meals twice a day and we will introduce green beans in a few days since he is over his virus and feeling more up to eating. Can't wait to see the expression on his face!

Alexander and family wish all of you a Very Happy New Year!!
