4 Months old!

Here are some pictures of our little man hanging out, bouncing and enjoying his time at home.

Eric took Alexander to the doctor this past week because he has had a stuffy nose and had been playing with his ears. We were a little concerned that he might have his first ear infection, but we escaped that and he just has a cold. He absolutely hates to have his nose sucked out but can breathe so much better afterwards. He weighed 16 lbs at the doctor, so you can say, our little man is not missing any meals! :-)

In fact, Alexander will be 4 months old on Monday, so we have started to introduce solids! He is infatuated with watching you eat, grabbing for whatever you put in your mouth, so I wanted to see how he would do with cereal. The 1st time, he was very unsure what he was supposed to do, but last night, he proved he had the hang of it and it is so much fun watching devour a small bowl of cereal and think he could do it all by himself! I think Daddy was going to have a heart attack with the mess we were making. When he wasn't feeding Alexander, he stood over us with a washcloth wiping away the mess!

We have a fun filled week ahead of us with Thanksgiving, spending time with the family and getting to see Uncle Billy again!

Alexander's 1st Roadtrip

Hello all~ Hope everyone is doing well. We have all been doing great! Enjoying the nice fall weather--LOVE this time of year! Alexander is growing up so fast, I know I say that every time but I still can't believe it! He has such a little personality. I looked back in the carseat the other day and told Eric how when I look at him now, it is a little sad, he is not my baby anymore, he looks so much like a "little boy". He is so expressive in his coos now....he grunts, squeals, yells and makes his own little words.
Don't you wish you could hear the noise coming out of his mouth!?
He is starting to teeth now. I know it seems early to us as well, but they say they can start getting teeth anywhere from 4-6 months and they feel them coming in earlier than we see them of course. He is putting everything he can in that little mouth of his! He will do anything to get your finger in there and chomp on it! We have had a time finding teethers that will fit in his mouth. Luckily the giraffe that Uncle Billy got him works well! So does a frozen washcloth. Other rings and stuff are just too big and he gets more frustrated than anything.
Thank you Uncle Billy for the AWESOME teether!
Alexander still loves his exersaucer. He has gotten the hang of how to make himself go round and round on it, playing with all the toys on it. His new found friend--Johnny Jump Up. The contraption that you hang in the door way and let them jump up and down in. He loves it! He loves to bounce and will spend a good deal of time in it---good way to get rid of all that energy! Nana & Papa Eric bought a bouncing exersaucer and he had a ball in that on Sunday and can't wait to go back for more playtime! He gets confused though, when he gets back home and his exersaucer doesn't bounce!
Last weekend Eric and I took Alexander for his first trip across the state line! We went to see Mr. & Mrs. Fisher in Longs, SC. Mr. & Mrs. Fisher are long time friends of Grandma & Grandpa Currie and had been waiting very patiently to see the little guy. We had the day off, so decided to see how Alexander would fair riding so long. He did wonderfully on the way there! He slept the entire way, only waking up a few minutes before we arrived. We had a very nice visit. Of course, Alexander got plenty of hugs and kisses. The trip back was a little more rough. I think he was just truly tired of being in his car seat because once we got home and took him out, he was a happy camper. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Our Little Blue M&M

Hello everyone! Here are some pictures from last night. Alexander was a blue M&M for Halloween and was the cutest M&M I have ever seen, but you can judge for yourself!

Picking out his favorite candy bar!
It's a BabyRuth! I thought for sure he would pick the pack of M&Ms!

It still amazes me how big our little man has gotten! When I weighed him myself on the scale, he was nearly 16 lbs!! Of course, that is not on the same scale as the doctor's office, but still! He is more and more interested in his toys these days. He loves swinging and playing with the hanging toys, he holds and plays with soft stuffed animals and his new found love--the exersaucer. They put him in it at daycare first and they told us that he really enjoyed it. We put ours together at home and he loves it! He is still a little too short to touch the ground so we have a pyrex dish for him to stand on!

Health wise, we are doing good. Obviously still gaining weight, despite the enormous amounts of spit up! :-) We have now changed his reflux medicine to Prevacid and are praying for a change--hopefully less spit up and less gassy, achy bellies!
Oh and here is something else...We, as a family went and voted yesterday as well. Here is what Alexander did while we voted...slept! :-)

More later....
