20 Weeks and Counting...

We went for our 20 week appt yesterday and everything is still looking good. My iron is reading a little low so I will start on supplements and eat lots more spinach, broccoli, etc. YUM! This is the 1st appt that I have actually gained some weight (can't believe I would be happy about that! :-) I think I owe it all to the new Bojangles here in Holly Springs!! Eric was able to record the baby's heartbeat on his cell phone so he happily walks around letting everyone listen to his son--what an awesome experience!

I am finally over the flu/pneumonia that had me bedridden for a full week. I must say that I have the most wonderful husband in the world! The caring and compassion that he shows everyday shows me and everyone else what a wonderful father he is going to be. He was at my bedside checking on me every 2 hours while I was sick. Making sure I had my meds on time, fixing my breathing treatments, taking my temperature, keeping juice boxes at the bedside and so much more!

I finally got our ultrasound pictures scanned from Feb 14th.

Valentine's was filled with BLUE, not Red This year!

Sorry this has taken so long to get posted, and as many of you already know.......WE ARE HAVING A LITTLE BOY!!! He is a very stubborn one at that (already!)! During out appt, we actually have a picture of him laying, nice and relaxed, arms up by his head and legs crossed. He stayed like this much of the exam. Luckily we had a very determined ultrasound tech and she was persistant in getting him to uncross those legs. Once he did she took a quick shot and IT'S A BOY! She did an extensive ultrasould looking at all differnt parts of his anatomy. Everything looks good. Measurements look nice as well. Still on track for July 18th! However, this little boy's head measures a week older than he is! (I soon learned this weekend that runs on Eric's side of the family! :-) I will post the u/s pics later. This mommy is "under the weather" and has not scanned any of them.

16 Week Check-Up

So, yesterday was our 16 wk check-up. Baby Currie is doing well! While we were listening to the heartbeat, the MD said, "it is a little less than 150, it must be a boy!" As soon as he said BOY, the heartbeat sped right up! It was comical!

Eric and I have decided to find out the sex of our baby. Mostly by persuasion of close family and friends. :-) We really thought we were going to find out yesterday but after talking with the Dr. he thought we would have a better chance to see everything in about 2 weeks. So...we have the FUN and EXCITING appt on February 14th! Cannot wait!!
